Segundo livro da série Os Bridgertons, de Julia Quinn. Honestamente não consigo dizer qual dos dois livros (The Duke and I é o primeiro livro da série) eu gostei mais. A leitura é simplesmente deliciosa.
Neste ‘volume’ temos a história de Anthony, o filho mais velho dos Bridgertons. Aos 29 anos, ele decide que é hora de casar-se e ter filhos.
A esposa ideal deve ser cordata, bonita, e gentil. Amor é desnecessário. A candidata ideal é a linda e jovem Edwina. Porém, é conhecimento comum que Edwina apenas irá casar-se com aquele que for aprovado por sua irmã mais velha, Kate.
E Kate, decididamente não aprova Anthony.
E Anthony acha que Kate é uma megera. Porém, um beijo ocorre e... a confusão começa!:)
O livro é daqueles que você lê em uma sentada, sabe? Tem momentos tristes (a morte do pai de Anthony), tocantes (Anthony ajudando Kate com seu medo de tempestade) e muito engraçados ( eles passeando com o monstro, digo, Newton, o cão de Kate).
Um livro imperdível. Pena que não existe ainda em Português (existe uma *versão* digital na net mas a tradução é horrorosa).
Na Saraiva, o livro custa R$12,40.
Um livro que eu recomendo.
